Rochelle S.

Lead Veterinary Technician

Rochelle’s career began in Las Vegas, NV in September of 2005, as a kennel attendant at a local vet clinic and an worked part time as an exotic animal caregiver for an animal conservation and educational company. Some of the exotic animals she was responsible for caring for included a coatimundi, lemur, bobcat, wallaby, several large parrots, snakes, a serval, and yes... even a tarantula. She quickly realized how much she loved working and caring for animals and was offered to advance to a vet tech position in the same clinic. Over the years, Rochelle has worked all positions in a veterinary hospital including hospital manager. She spent a large portion of her career managing two, small animal practices and created their first rescue program helping to remove adoptable animals from the kill list at the local shelter. She then managed a no-kill shelter clinic for 4 years and then managed a rescue friendly public veterinary clinic for the next 4 years. She is still a part of the nonstop mission to end overpopulation and the unnecessary euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals. Rochelle joined Midvalley in February 2017 when her family decided to relocate to Utah. She is still trying to figure out this snow thing and why people like it. When she's not working, you can find her snuggled with her family and her 3 dogs, Joshy (Italian Greyhound mix), Forest (Pitbull mix) and Kohla (Dachshund mix).
