How to tell if your pet is in pain?

Often we look for vocalization, such as a dog crying out or a cat crying out in pain, and that does happen. But most of the time, when they are painful or uncomfortable, we are going to see a change in their normal behavior. This could be limping, decreased activity levels, hiding, avoiding normal activities, not wanting to play, stiffness, or moving strangely when they first get out of bed.

What are the options to make my pet more comfortable?

There are several options to help make pets more comfortable. We have oral medications that are very beneficial, and injectable medications can also be used to control pain. For both dogs and cats, a monthly injection of a monoclonal antibody can help block pain receptors and improve mobility.
